Refurbishment of a traditional patio house from the 40’s to turn it into a cultural coffee bar. The proposal highlights the existing values of the traditional house by minimizing the interventions and keeping the constant connections with the courtyard. Recycled materials and some industrial-like objects resembling the local industry of tuna fish and boat fabrication.

An abstract surface of timber-made pixels creates a soft warm environment, as it acoustically conditions the interior. Beam-shaped bottles holders made of waxed black steel cantilever over users’ heads. Mid-century original pieces of furniture are combined with some custom designed elements.
