The assignment was to rehabilitate the first two stories of a patio house in the historic center of Seville. The idea was to create two independent apartments. The flat on the first floor was for the mother of the man whose family would be living in the ground floor. So, they will get a certain independence without losing closeness.

The ground floor apartment is located in between two patios. Crossed ventilation and chimney effect assure a good interior thermic comfort. The public living areas are solved in one simple stripe facing the long back patio. Three bedrooms are accessible from there, being two of the entrances integrated in box-like elements.

The patio aims at the idea of the romantic Sevillian patio, including some the tropical species that were brought from America centuries ago.
